SUMMARY:
From the desperation of golden crowns...
Casteel Da'Neer knows all too well that very few are as cunning or vicious as the Blood Queen, but no one, not even him, could've prepared for the staggering revelations. The magnitude of what the Blood Queen has done is almost unthinkable.
And born of mortal flesh...
Nothing will stop Poppy from freeing her King and destroying everything the Blood Crown stands for. With the strength of the Primal of Life's guards behind her, and the support of the wolven, Poppy must convince the Atlantian generals to make war her way-because there can be no retreat this time. Not if she has any hope of building a future where both kingdoms can reside in peace.
A great primal power rises...
Together, Poppy and Casteel must embrace traditions old and new to safeguard those they hold dear-to protect those who cannot defend themselves. But war is only the beginning. Ancient primal powers have already stirred, revealing the horror of what began eons ago. To end what the Blood Queen has begun, Poppy might have to become what she has been prophesied to be-what she fears the most.
As the Harbinger of Death and Destruction.
Update (Spoilers Ahead)
I just finished reading this book. Believe me when I say I am shocked! The first half was fine even though I find it a bit repetitive and weirded out by Poppy’s feelings on Kieran. Like Girl? why are you having weird feelings with your spouse’s best friend?! But it was still fine. I also find Isbeth’s characther a bit repetitive, I don’t know why. Now from the shocking thing was the Joining. I mean it was mention in book two or three but I didn’t really think too much about it. Well, suprise, surprise. The Joining did happen and my jaw was on the floor the whole time. Like, what am I reading type of thing? LOL! I was confused if… did they have a threesome? Am I reading it right? Also, I mean Casteel and Kieran are really close, like brothers but I would think he would be more possessive of having Poppy only to himself, right? I really don’t know. Anyways, I would be so bummed if Kieran can’t find a heartmate, he better find one soon because I think he deserves someone who actually loves him and not only as second choice you know, because we all know Poppy and Casteel will always choose each other first.
Anyways, I am excited to see Sera and Daddy Nyktos in the next Blood and Ash book because I really love their own book, Flesh and Fire and now that they have awaken at the last part of the book maybe I will see them >_<. Overall, aside from the Joining the book is fine. As Jisoo would say, “Not bad but not good” LOL! Yeah, it’s so-so lmao. So to finish this up, I would rate this book a 3/5 stars. Maybe I would try to re-read it but not anytime soon. Bye!
